New York got a wide awakening this week! We ran two ads in the Wall Street Journal and New York Post showing readers what’s really in plant-based meats. Hint: “plant-based” is used very loosely. It’s useful to know plant-based meats tend to be highly processed, given 40% of plant-based food consumers want to avoid processed food.

The ads were about sausage and bacon, but if you want to find out what’s in other fake meat products, head to the ingredient guide. There you can compare the ingredients of many major fake meat products against the real thing. As fake meat becomes more prevalent it’s essential to know what you’re putting in your body.
